Welcome to Transcendence Child & Family Therapy!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,  I have over 20 years of professional experience and training. As a Dayton, Ohio native, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Central State University (Wilberforce, Ohio).   In 1993 I relocated to Atlanta to complete my graduate studies at Clark Atlanta University School of Social Work (Atlanta, Georgia).

Over the years, I have provided individual, group, and couples therapy and my clients have ranged from adolescents to the geriatric population. I have also worked in various settings that have afforded me exceptional experience and training within the private practice sector, healthcare setting, home based therapy, residential treatment facilities as well as in the school setting.

My approach is to utilize a plethora of techniques tailored to best fit your needs and address those parts of you that get in the way of a healthy life balance. My belief is that while we are all unique, we all have a common desire to live a harmonious and fulfilling life. Through therapy, I will help you to explore and work through barriers or unexpected crisis to better assist in your journey to a healthier life!

Clinical Director

Camesha Williams, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia, with over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a therapeutic setting. My style is collaborative.  The relationship between the client and therapist guides the work that we will do together.  By using a non judgmental approach and creating a safe place for you to feel heard, growth and insight can occur.

I work with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, mood disorders, ADHD and relationship issues.  I have extensive knowledge and experience using the following interventions; trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, solution focused and brief therapy. I believe in meeting individuals where they are and building on their strengths.

I enjoy teaching clients how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and guide clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms and increase personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience.
